I've lived in Bedford since 2011 with my wife Liz and my children Grace and Sarah. When looking for houses, we were drawn to the friendly character of the town and the great services it provides. I quickly became involved in town government, being appointed to the Housing Partnership Committee within six months of moving here and being appointed to a vacant seat on the Planning Board within a year. I served for ten years on the Planning Board and am now nearing the end of my first three year term on the Select Board. I have also served as chair of the Community Preservation Committee and as member of the Transportation Advisory Committee and Municipal Affordable Housing Trust. I have a passion for how government, particularly local government, can work to improve the lives of residents.
Professionally, I am a systems engineer. My connection with Bedford dates back to 1996 when I first started at the Raytheon facility that was on Hartwell Road and moved on to 13 years at MITRE Corporation in Bedford. Currently, I am working on development of medical infusion pumps at Fresenius Kabi. I have a bachelor’s and master’s degree from MIT in Aeronautical Engineering. Besides my formal education, I have learned the most from listening to the stories and ideas of others.
In addition to serving in town government, my hobbies include yoga, reading, writing, and of course spending time with my family.
